I have used various health strategies, including: CBD products, healthy diet with supplements, and exercise; to improve my health and well-being for many years. Like many others, I found them very beneficial. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2012 following a whiplash accident; was prescribed an array of medications and was told that I would never get better. Devastating news for an otherwise healthy, active mum of three kids. But not one to take anything lying down, I refused to believe that. For the next five years as my health and fitness increasingly deteriorated, I had every available test to rule out everything else. And tried every medication and product that offered any relief. Few did! I was determined that was not how my story was going to end!
So in 2017, with support from my GP, I stopped taking all the prescribed medications (apart from occasional painkillers). Replaced them with high quality supplements to improve my health. And started a fitness programme to get myself mobile and manage my pain. Against all the odds, I managed to get my life back. In the space of a few years, I went from a bed-bound cripple who needed a wheelchair to get around; to a gym-going, relatively active person who is able to work and contribute to society again. Albeit with adjustments and flexibility to help avoid and minimise the fibro symptom flares. The change has been miraculous!
CBD and Strength Training Helped to Alleviate My Fibromyalgia Symptoms
It was a very long, arduous journey and I am quite convinced that my comeback would not have been as extensive without improving my overall health with the help of supplements, including CBD products, and strength training. They helped to alleviate my pain, improve my sleep and skin conditions, as well as reduce my anxiety and depression; my major fibromyalgia symptoms. A recent study found that 30 to 40% of fibromyalgia patients reported much or very much relief by using CBD. Another review of relevant research found that aerobic exercise and strength training improved pain intensity and quality of life in fibromyalgia patients.
My own experience supports the positive findings of these studies. I want others in similar circumstances to have the same opportunity to improve their health and well-being and live their best life. My hope is that my story inspires you to try to improve your health.
Advocating For Cannabinoid Use
I advocate for the legalisation and sustainable use of Cannabis sativa plants to improve and maintain the overall health and well-being of individuals. I also advocate the use of exercise programmes to manage long-term chronic pain. Both controversial viewpoints it would seem. My extensive studies have given me an excellent understanding of the human body and how people can improve their health and well-being, including how cannabinoids can improve the lives of individuals with various health problems.
An added bonus for me, as an ecologically aware person, is that hemp can also be used to produce paper, packaging, and clothing, etc. It is an excellent alternative to using less sustainable materials such as trees and plastics. By buying and using hemp derived products you can play your part in helping to save the environment.
